Changing strings on a Pearson is nearly identical to traditional hardtail guitars utilizing locking tuners, just in reverse with the ball ends at the headstock, and the tuners at the bridge.

There are a few techniques to be aware of:

  • Before feeding the string through the tuner, turn the tuner pegs so the hole lines up directly with where the string comes off the bridge saddle. (What we’re trying to do is reduce the amount of tuner winding required, to make changing strings faster, and so the string does not slip off tuner post due to the increased break angle at the High E/Low E)
  • The ball end of the string sits at the headstock string block. Loosen the tuner locks prior to feeding string through tuner post
  • Once string is fed through the tuner, pull the string tight so there is no slack when locking the tuner (if this is not done, string will require too many turns around the tuner post and may slip off the post as previously stated)

If you are not satisfied with your guitar, you may return it for the purchase price, or exchange for another product of equivalent value within 2 weeks of receiving the guitar. You are responsible for all shipping fees, including any applicable customs, duties and fees. Returns must be in the complete and original packaging with all accessories. The guitar must be showing no signs of wear or use.

In the event that your purchases are defective, we offer a 1 year limited warranty. To get in touch regarding a defective product, email support@pearsoninstruments.com and we’ll do our best to find a solution in a timely manner.
